Job Description
Commis Chef – Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes across all service periods, including functions and eventsSet up and run a designated section during serviceEnsure all mise en place is prepared and service readyMaintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion controlMonitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and rotationWork closely with senior chefs to deliver a smooth, high-quality service
Qualifications
Commis Chef – Skills & Qualifications
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or currently undertaking)Previous experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen environmentSolid understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsAbility to work independently within a section during service Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsStrong time management and organisational skillsPositive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skillsFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
