Overview The Defence Department is hiring a public relations officer for the Australian Army, to be based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities - Manage a team of PR practitioners who will manage the Army’s branding and reputation development efforts through press releases, videos, and social media content.
Talk with the Army’s senior command staff on building current communication strategies, media relations, and issues management.
Work may require assignment to Defence Force HQ in Canberra or attached with units on deployment.
Qualifications - Open exclusively to Australian citizens who graduated with PR, Corporate Communications, or Journalism degrees with at least three years’ experience.
Must pass the standard ADF physical fitness test and undergo background checks.
