We are currently recruiting teachers/tutors for the following programs:
Primary
Prep–Year 2 Phonics & Early Literacy
Year 1–6 English
Year 1–6 Mathematics
Secondary
Year 7–9 English
Year 7–9 Mathematics
Applicants may specialise in one area or teach across multiple year levels.
About the Role
You will:
Teach engaging small-group classes in English and/or Mathematics.
Deliver lessons using BrightSpark's structured curriculum and comprehensive teaching resources.
Inspire students to build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Work collaboratively with a friendly and supportive teaching team.
Preferred Qualifications
For Primary positions:
Experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged students.
For Secondary positions:
Experience teaching Years 7–9 English and/or Mathematics.
Familiarity with the Victorian Curriculum.
The following will be highly regarded:
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
Classroom teaching experience
Previous tutoring experience
Priority Availability
We are currently giving priority to applicants who are available every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Additional classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are available depending on your availability and expertise.
Please note: This is an after-school teaching position, with classes primarily conducted on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Applicants seeking full time daytime school positions may find this role unsuitable.
