Southern Cross Care QLD is looking for an Aged Care Registered Nurse to join our team at one of our Residential Aged Care Homes in the Western Downs region of Queensland. Both casual and permanent roles are available.

Choose from our largest Home in Chinchilla (Illoura Village) or smaller towns such as Tara, Miles, or Taroom.

What is the role?

As a Registered Nurse, you will join a team of highly skilled compassionate nurses to provide excellence in clinical care for our residents.



You will work under the leadership of experienced Clinical Leaders to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care. You will support and supervise your team, champion a solid teamwork approach to resident care, liaise with medical practitioners, families and multidisciplinary team members, and build relationships with residents based on dignity and respect.

What will you bring to the role?
Current RN licence with AHPRA registration
Robust clinical focus with ability to provide high‑level holistic support tailored to individuals
Knowledge of chronic conditions, palliative and dementia care (desired)
Availability to work all shifts
Dedication to caring for older people to live their best lives
Enjoy working in a team environment
Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
