Lead Functional Consultant Workday Finance

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Salary: AUD 150,742 - 171,215 Annual Gross

Versatile working arrangements: hybrid, reviewed case‑by‑case basis.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the business to gather, understand, and analyze requirements. Demonstrate configurations using prototyping and perform unit testing of processes.
Provide subject‑matter expertise on key business process decisions.
Configure and modify Business Processes (BP), troubleshoot data issues and corrections, and manage Workday reporting, analytics and security configuration changes.
Lead Workday major release update feature analysis, testing and coordinate deployment with the business.
Identify improvement opportunities for the business and implement solutions.

Qualifications
At least 10–12 years of overall IT experience.
4–6 years in the Workday Finance domain, especially in functional configuration across core Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Budgeting and Planning, Projects, Grants, Business Assets, Inventory).
Experience with basic and advanced security configuration and basic technical knowledge of Workday.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.




Experience working in a global delivery environment.
Experience managing a medium‑sized team is a plus.
Excellent customer‑facing skills and solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
