We're inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at RAAF Amberley as a Fire Systems Technician.
Responsibilities
Respond to corrective maintenance work orders and unplanned fire system faults within contract‑specified response times
Conduct root cause analysis and diagnosis using manuals, standards and asset history
Perform rectification works including repairs or replacements of faulty fire system components
Implement make‑protected or temporary repairs when required and escalation of major component replacement
Verify and test corrective maintenance works, ensuring compliance to standards and Defence policies
Qualifications
Certificate III in Fire Systems Testing and Inspection
Fire Protection Accreditation (FPAA), QBCC Fire Protection Licence (QLD), or FPAS Accreditation (NSW)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory)
Post‑trade experience in fire systems fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance and repair
Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis, fault finding and compliance testing to restore fire systems to operational condition
Experience responding to unplanned or reactive work orders within required response times
