Reporting to the Building Supervisor, the Carpenter is responsible for maintenance, repair and construction of Councils building assets including the planning and organisation of works within allocated budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, repair and construction works across Council buildings and assets.
Complete internal and external building improvements, fit-outs and minor construction projects.
Undertake tasks such as concreting, formwork, gutter maintenance, deck restoration and servicing evaporative air conditioners.
Arrange quotations and coordinate contractors for specialist works.
Assist with building inspections, condition inspections and maintenance planning.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and recent works.
Operate workshop machinery and tools safely and effectively.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders while delivering excellant customer service.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Carpenter with relevant trade experience
Current QBCC Licence
Construction Induction White Card
Current C Class Drivers Licence
Solid communication and problem solving skills
Commitment to workplcae safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
