Alya is seeking an experienced Male Youth Disability Support Worker to support a teenage participant in the Ningi area.
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, resilient and enjoys working alongside young people to build independence, confidence and life skills. You'll become part of a consistent support team that values positive relationships and person-centred practice.
About the role
You'll provide support with
Community participation and recreational activities
Daily routines and skill development
Building independence and confidence
Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies
Supporting emotional regulation in a calm and respectful manner
Working collaboratively with the participant's family and support team
About you
You'll be someone who
Remains calm and confident in challenging situations
Builds trust through consistency and respect
Enjoys working with adolescents
Is physically active and engaged in the community
Can confidently follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Experience supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3),
ADHD, PDA and behaviours of concern is highly regarded.
Essential requirements
Experienced Male Support Worker
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current Australian Driver Licence
Reliable, comprehensive insured vehicle
Current First Aid & CPR (preferred, but not essential)
