Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher The Smug Fig – Stones Corner, QLD The Smug Fig is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand/Dishwasher to join our friendly café team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and is willing to support the chefs and kitchen team when required.
Key Responsibilities
Washing dishes, kitchen equipment, utensils and glassware
Keeping the kitchen, dishwashing area and storage areas clean and organised
Emptying bins and following correct waste-disposal procedures
Assisting with basic food preparation when required
Restocking kitchen supplies and helping put deliveries away
Cleaning floors, benches, sinks and kitchen equipment
Following food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
Supporting the chefs and other team members during busy periods
Completing opening and closing cleaning duties
About You
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Able to work quickly and efficiently in a busy kitchen
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
Valuable communication skills and a positive attitude
Available to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays when required
Previous kitchen-hand or dishwashing experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right person
