This is an excellent prospect to lead a high-performing procurement function, delivering complex sourcing projects that create value, manage risk and support critical organisational outcomes. It is a 3 months contract role.

About the Role

As the Procurement Lead, you will oversee strategic sourcing activities across a diverse portfolio of goods and services. You will provide expert procurement advice, develop sourcing strategies, lead complex tender processes and negotiate high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with Victorian Government procurement policies and achieving strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities across multiple categories.
Develop procurement strategies, lead complex tender processes and negotiate commercial agreements.
Manage supplier relationships,



contract performance and procurement risk while ensuring compliance with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies and relevant legislation.
Lead, mentor and develop a team of procurement professionals.
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide strategic procurement advice and support business objectives.
Drive procurement process improvements, supplier performance initiatives and value-for-money outcomes.

To be successful, you will bring:
Extensive experience leading procurement or strategic sourcing functions within a complex organisation.
Demonstrated experience applying Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies and procurement frameworks.
Proven success managing complex tenders, supplier negotiations and contract management.
Robust commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organisational levels.
Public sector procurement experience will be highly regarded.
