Simmonds Laser & Tube Cutting is a leading provider of precision laser and tube cutting services. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dispatch & Yard Person to join our team on a part‑time basis .

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a quick‑paced manufacturing environment and is looking for secure, long‑term employment with opportunities to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a forklift to move and store materials.
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Load and unload trucks, machinery and shipping containers.
Handle steel products including sheets, lengths and tube.
Operate an overhead crane (or be willing to undertake training).
Liaise with the Production Supervisor to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
Ensure outgoing orders meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Report any damaged tools, equipment or PPE.
Maintain a clean, secure and organized yard and warehouse.
Assist with general production, yard and dispatch duties as required.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing is highly regarded.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
