Role Description Credit Analyst Trainees will support the brokerage team by assisting with the assessment of loan applications and reviewing clients’ financial information to determine creditworthiness. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and verifying documentation, performing basic financial and risk analysis under supervision, preparing summaries and reports for senior brokers, and updating internal systems and records.

Trainees will communicate with clients and lenders to clarify information, follow up on outstanding requirements, and help ensure a smooth and timely application process.



This is an internship role designed to provide structured training and mentoring in credit analysis and mortgage lending. The position is hybrid, based in Footscray, VIC, with some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications
Ability to analyze financial statements, bank statements, and credit reports, with solid numerical and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data entry, and compliance with lending policies and regulations.
Explicit written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to clients in accessible language.
Customer-focused mindset with a skilled, respectful, and empathetic approach to client interactions.
Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word) and willingness to learn lender portals and CRM systems.
Ability to work in a team, take direction, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in mortgage broking, lending, or finance; coursework or studies in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field are highly regarded.
