Experience supporting Participants living with Psychosocial disability is needed for this role and may include implementing approved restrictive practice.
Candidates must be available for weekday short shifts, specifically Thursdays / Fridays and potential for other weekday and weekend shifts.
Applicants will also join the general casual pool for additional shifts based on their availability.
The role involves supporting Participants to participate in activities of daily living in-home and to access the community. Support in areas such as domestic tasks, errands, attending appointments, shopping, exercise and recreational activities will be involved.
Casual SCHADS Award Weekday rate for qualified applicants $45.28 to $46.70 depending on level of qualification and experience.
Applicants without a formal qualification, with experience or working towards a qualification in the industry may be considered for this role and paid according to the Casual SCHADS Award $34.44 - $45.28.
Essential Skill Requirements:
Cert III or higher in Disability/Community Services/Individual Support or related field
Demonstrated experience (6+months) working in this field
Experience providing respectful supports within a person's home
Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency in recognising risks, managing workplace health and safety (WHS), and reporting effectively.

Highly Desirable:
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of people with psychosocial disability requiring mental health support.
Proficient in providing support to individuals diagnosed with Schizophrenia.
