SEHAJ DEEWHY Pty Ltd, trading as SQ BAR & GRILL, is a newly established restaurant located in Penrith, NSW, offering a unique blend of Mediterranean and Modern Australian cuisine. As part of our expansion and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences, we are seeking 2 qualified and experienced Cooks to join our kitchen team on a full time basis.
These roles are critical to supporting our kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and contributing to menu development and customer satisfaction.
Position: Cook
Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking a variety of Mediterranean and Contemporary Australian dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Assisting in daily kitchen operations including food preparation, portioning, and plating
Ensuring consistency in food quality,
taste, and presentation
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with food safety standards
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and inventory control
Following instructions from the Head Chef and contributing to smooth kitchen workflow
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
At least 2 years of experience as an independent Cook
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment with attention to detail
