Brisbane CBD | 6-Month FTC (opportunity for extension/permanent leadership role)

We're working with a well-established Brisbane consultancy on a rare, high-impact hire.

This role has a transparent mandate: go inside a growing business, identify where AI and automation can meaningfully reduce effort and cost, and deliver outcomes that are felt, not just documented.

The immediate focus is on one of the biggest cost drivers in the business. You'll assess what's already in place, decide whether to fix it or rebuild it, and own the result.

Get it right, and there's a genuine path beyond the initial contract, more scope, more parts of the business to improve, and a long-term leadership prospect for the right person.

What you'll be doing
Diagnosing and improving/rebuilding an existing internal AI proposal tool
Designing and delivering AI and automation solutions with measurable business impact
Leading an internal AI adoption program across the business
Helping a capable, engaged team get more value from the AI tools they already use




Setting up dashboards and reporting so leadership can see exactly what's working

What we're looking for
You've done this before, ideally in professional services or a similar environment where delivering high-value client work at pace is part of daily life.
You know how to navigate a business that's mid-journey on AI, and you can take an initiative from a rough brief to a working solution with explicit ROI.
You're a hands-on coder, confident with LLM APIs and automation tooling, and just as comfortable presenting to a leadership team as you are in the code.
This isn't a junior role. We're looking for someone who has delivered, can prove it and is hungry for the opportunity to own something bigger.
