We are seeking a passionate and motivated Criminal Lawyer to join our team. This is a fantastic chance for a recent graduate or early-career lawyer looking to build their career in criminal law with a supportive and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a wide range of criminal law matters, including summary and indictable offences.
Appear in Local, District, and Children's Courts.
Conduct Pleas, Hearings, instruct in District and Supreme Court Trials, Section 14 Applications, Licence Appeals, Bail Applications and a vast range of other types of criminal and traffic law related matters.
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
Draft legal documents, including submissions and affidavits.
Provide high-quality legal advice and client advocacy.
Work closely with senior lawyers on complex cases and trial preparation.
Occasional travel to country courts and interstate locations.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will be:
A recent graduate or lawyer with up to 2 years post-admission experience (criminal law experience preferred but not essential).
Admitted to practice in NSW and hold a current practicing certificate.
Driver Licence.
Passionate about criminal law and access to justice.
An exceptional communicator with strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A team player who is proactive and eager to learn.
