Our client is a leading radiopharmaceutical manufacturer supporting nuclear medicine services across Australia. They are seeking a pharmacist to join their operations team and play a key role in the preparation, compounding, dispensing and distribution of radiopharmaceutical products.
This position will suit an AHPRA-registered Pharmacist who enjoys working in a highly regulated environment and is passionate about quality, patient safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare, compound, dispense and distribute radiopharmaceutical products
Perform generator elutions and quality control testing
Radiolabel reagent kits with Tc-99m and other radionuclides as required
Ensure compliance with GMP, radiation safety requirements and company procedures
Maintain accurate production, dispensing and quality records
Perform or oversee radiopharmaceutical quality control testing
Support environmental monitoring and sterile compounding activities
Manage inventory of radiopharmaceutical products and consumables
Investigate and respond to customer complaints and quality issues
Assist with audits, regulatory compliance activities and documentation reviews
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy
Skills/Experience
Degree qualification in Pharmacy or equivalent
Current AHPRA Pharmacist registration with no restrictions
Minimum 12 months' pharmacy experience preferred
Experience within radiopharmacy, nuclear medicine or sterile compounding environments is highly regarded
Knowledge of GMP and quality systems
Understanding of aseptic technique and sterile manufacturing practices
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational setting
