Highlands Veterinary Hospital is expanding our team and we are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join the family 3 days per week (immediate start).
We're a well-established, community-focused small animal practice located in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Our team prides itself on delivering exceptional care to our patients and their humans in a warm and skilled environment.
About the Role:
This is a diverse and hands-on role, offering a great mix of client service and clinical nursing duties. You will:
Assist the veterinarian during consultations and surgical procedures
Monitor anaesthesia and provide support in surgical preparation and recovery
Provide care and monitoring for hospitalised patients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic and treatment areas
Support with general admin, reception and greeting clients when needed.
One day per week will be working at reception
About You:
A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is essential
Ability to confidently work unsupervised
Confident in monitoring anaesthesia and handling animals in a clinical setting
Confident in training/overseeing junior nurses
Friendly, professional, and client-focused
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
A genuine passion for animal care and wellbeing
Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position
