Football Fives is seeking a reliable and organised Competition Manager to oversee the weekly running of our Sunday evening social 5-a-side outdoor soccer competition at Cintra Park, Concord.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up equipment prior to games and pack down afterward (banner, speaker, and moving goals into position)
Ensure teams are ready for games to run to schedule
Record match scores and results
Prepare match balls (transport and inflate as required)
Wash and transport bibs on a weekly basis
Transport and charge the competition speaker each week
Film the weekly Player of the Match video
Update the league table following each round
Send out a weekly attendance poll
Respond to player enquiries via email, Instagram and Whatsapp as needed
Other ad hoc tasks related to the operation of the competition as required
Hours:
Approximately 4.5 hours per week - 3 hours in office each Sunday evening (attendance, set up and pack down) plus approximately 1.5 hours of weekly administrative tasks (attendance poll, email correspondence, bib laundering)
Pay: $35.00 per hour (exclusive of superannuation)
About You: This role would suit someone reliable, personable, and ideally already familiar with or involved in the local football/community sport scene. Prior experience in event coordination, sports administration, or refereeing is beneficial but not essential.
