A&J; Air is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Installation Mechanic to join our skilled, friendly team based in Redhead. This role involves the installation of a wide range of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems across the Hunter region. We’re also open to considering a 3rd or 4th year apprentice who’s enthusiastic about growing their skills in a supportive and energetic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of commercial and industrial A/C and refrigeration systems
Ducted, split, VRF/VRV, and package unit installations
Install copper piping, insulation, and controls per design specifications
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver jobs efficiently
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Maintain site documentation and communicate progress with the team and clients
About You
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or nearing completion)
Current refrigeration handling license (ARCtick)
Current driver’s license
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and workmanship
Positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
