Who We Are

Proudly West Australian, Gage Roads has grown to become the country's leading independent brewery. In Jan '22, we opened Gage Roads Freo, our 1500 capacity brewpub, located in the Fremantle Port, on the Walyalup Waterfront. Perfectly perched on right on the harbour, our venue overlooks the channel of water that originally inspired our name.

Since slinging our first beer, we've solidified ourselves as a "must visit" for tourists, and a regular spot for locals, taking out awards like "Best Bar" and "Best Outdoor Area". Not to mention being packed to the rafters day in and day out.

None of this would be possible without our legendary "Valuable Times Crew". About the Role

Gage Roads Freo is one of Perth's busiest hospitality venues,



a working craft brewery on the Fremantle waterfront with capacity for 1,500 guests, open all-day, seven days a week. This is a high-volume kitchen that demands consistency, speed, and pride in output.

You'll own the pizza section. Hand-stretching dough, managing a wood-fired oven, controlling stock and ordering, and keeping your section clean and compliant. You'll lead and mentor your assistant/s, contributing to a strong team culture across kitchen and FOH.

This role sits within the Level 4–6 Cook classification, so we're looking for a candidate with experience to match.

Skills and Experiences:
What You'll Bring
Experience producing high-quality, hand-stretched pizzas at volume
Confidence on a wood-fired oven
Robust food hygiene and record-keeping standards
The ability to lead, train and develop those around you
Calm under pressure and a genuine team-first attitude
