We are a popular neighbourhood café and bar in Brunswick East, just north of Melbourne's CBD. We have built a solid local following since opening in 2008. We have a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere that's popular for after-work drinks with a relaxed, contemporary feel, a cosy rear courtyard, indoor dining and bar seating. We are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner offering Gourmet pizzas, Up-to-date Australian pub-style dishes, Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options with a wide selection of Australian and international wines, Craft beers, cocktails and premium spirits.

We are now seeking a Qualified Chef to join our dedicated team. To apply you will need an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and over 2 Years experience as a Chef. We are offering $80K-$90K plus Super

Your responsibilities will be:
Prepare, cook, present dishes as per the menu, maintaining consistency in quality, flavour, and presentation.
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow during service hours.




Manage kitchen inventory and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Ensure all food prepared meets taste, texture, and visual standards.
Follow food safety & hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain a clean & secure kitchen.
Control portion sizes, food costs, and minimize waste to ensure profitability.
Work collaboratively with other staff
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Adapt recipes or techniques as necessary to meet customer dietary requirements or preferences.
