Viewpoint Café and Restaurant, a popular food destination in Waikerie, is seeking a full time Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver quality meals to our loyal customer base. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary between $70,000 – $80,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and develop seasonal and daily menus in consultation with management and kitchen team.
Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency, flavour, and high standards.
Estimate food and staffing costs, manage ordering and inventory to maintain efficiency and minimise waste.
Guide and train kitchen staff, demonstrate advanced techniques, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.




Liaise with floor staff and management to resolve food service issues and streamline workflow.
Prepare meals for customers with specific dietary needs.
Preserve ingredients through proper freezing and storage techniques.

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Certificate in Commercial Cookery preferred.
Solid leadership and communication skills.
