The Colley Hotel is seeking a talented full time commis chef to join our vibrant kitchen team up at Molly's. As a full-time commis chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional Italian dining experiences to our guests. This is a hands-on position based in our modern kitchen located in Glenelg, SA 5045.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a wide variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
Collaborating with the head chef to create new and cutting-edge menu items
Ensuring all food preparation and cooking tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Maintaining a clean, secure and organised kitchen environment
Providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to guest requests
Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff as required
Adhering to all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
Formal chef training and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
Strong working knowledge of food preparation,
cooking techniques and presentation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
Food safety certification and a current police check
