Position Details – Trade Waiter

Gimlet is a busy restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of the CBD. We continue to receive recognition for qualified and knowledgeable service, along with unique drinks and food offering.

We maintained our 2 hats from the Good Food Guide for the third year in a row. We also received The Best Wine List of Australia and Sommeliers Choice Award from the Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards and The Best Restaurant Bar from the Australian Bar Awards.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate candidates who are eager to learn and share the spotlight with us in one of the most acclaimed Melbourne establishments.

A Waiter is responsible for:

· Adhering to the business’s presentation standards, service procedures and service times.

· Ensuring guests are met and greeted to a standard that will deliver a positive first impression.

· Ensuring guests needs and expectations are met.

· Delivering superior levels of service to ensure repeat business.





· Ensuring the dedication to the delivery of friendly, qualified service.

· Ensuring all guests’ requests and questions are dealt with promptly and to the guests’ satisfaction

· Ensuring that all guests are served in a timely fashion.

· Building ongoing rapport with regular guests to ensure repeat business.

· Monitoring the quality of food and beverages being delivered.

· Ensuring that an appropriate level of technical skills are demonstrated to guest.

· Ensuring the responsible service of alcohol policies are adhered to.

· Ensuring that any customer complaints are handled professionally or referred to the supervisor or manager on duty.

Position Requirements

· Relevant qualification or equivalent experience

· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

Salary

$75,000 to $85,000 annual base salary

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
