The Lucky Prawn, our Chinese bistro within Hawke’s Brewing Co's Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at our Marrickville venue.

Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, the CDP is central to the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Working in service and completing prep duties, the Chef is key to delivering and maintaining a high standard and consistent quality of all menu items and kitchen operations.

The Position Offers:
An ongoing full time role in a professional kitchen.
Working alongside Head Chef, Sous Chefs and supporting Kitchen team
Award-winning venue with great workflow and systems
The role is based on a 38hr, 5 day week

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for service.
Prepare, cook and present menu items while overseeing quality control, portioning, and presentation standards,



and ensuring consistency across all dishes within your section
Assist with the implementation of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Ensure effective stock rotation and minimum wastage daily.
Mentor and co-ordinate the work of junior chefs.

You will be perfect for this role if you have
2 years experiences in high volume restaurant as a Senior CDP
A sound understanding of all kitchen operations
Experience in Chinese cookery
A modern approach to cooking
A positive and professional attitude
A commitment to high standards of kitchen preparation, plating, cleanliness, and food safety standards
You’re a strong team player with outstanding communication skills and an enthusiastic approach
Ability to work in a high-pressure quick paced environment

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
