We're seeking a talented and experienced Seamstress Independent Contractor to partner with our showroom team in delivering exceptional alteration services to our brides. Through referrals from our showroom, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every gown fits flawlessly, helping each bride look and feel her absolute best on one of the most memorable days of her life.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality bridal gown alterations and fittings.
Conduct alteration appointments with brides, providing professional advice and recommendations.
Pin, alter and finish gowns to an exceptional standard within agreed timeframes.
Communicate with the showroom team regarding alteration requirements and timelines.
Maintain accurate records of alterations and appointments.
Deliver a warm, skilled and personalised experience for every bride.
About You
Previous experience as a bridal or formalwear seamstress is essential
Exceptional sewing, fitting and garment alteration skills with solid attention to detail.
Confident working independently while collaborating with the showroom team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple gowns and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
A passion for helping brides look and feel their absolute best.
Contractor Requirements
As this is an independent contractor opportunity, you will be required to have:
A current Australian Business Number (ABN).
GST registration (where applicable).
Public Liability Insurance.
Your own equipment and tools required to perform alterations.
The ability to invoice for services provided.
