We are seeking a hands on Machine Operator to run and maintain injection moulding equipment in a manufacturing workplace. This role is ideal for someone with experience operating industrial machinery (for example CNC, presses, automated production equipment) who is comfortable with setups, troubleshooting, and maintaining consistent production output.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and optimise plastic injection moulding machines
Using overhead gantry crane to load and unload moulds into the machine's.
Perform job changeovers including tooling and material changes
Monitor machine performance (cycle times, temperatures, pressures)
Identify and rectify process issues to minimise downtime and scrap
Perform in-process quality inspections and ensure compliance with specifications
Support preventative maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting
Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records
Adhere to WHS, quality, and company compliance standards
Skills & Experience
Experience operating industrial machinery (plastics experience advantageous but not essential)
Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and fault finding
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Sound communication skills and a professional approach
Ability to work independently in a structured production setting
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience ancillary equipment (Dryers, Regrinders etc)
Trade or technical qualifications
A forklift licence
