Our client, Australia's leed seed provider are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for their site located in Toowoomba.

About the Duties:
Perform scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance on seed processing and packaging equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete breakdown repairs
Maintain and repair conveyors, bearings, motors, pumps, gearboxes, rollers and other plant machinery.
Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged or unsafe components requiring repair or replacement.
Carry out fitting, fabrication, welding and minor equipment modifications as required.
Install, align and commission replacement parts, machinery and mechanical components.
Assist with planned shutdowns, major servicing and plant improvement projects.




Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, parts used and completed repairs.

About You:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner, or equivalent
Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, agriculture, food production or a similar industrial environment
Strong experience diagnosing mechanical faults and completing breakdown repairs
Experience maintaining conveyors, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, motors and production machinery
Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance and planned servicing procedures
Welding, fabrication and equipment modification experience.
