Main Duties
Upholding exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene
Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes typical of a modern Australian Bistro
Always keeping the kitchen and equipment immaculate
Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers to maintain stock levels
Assist in training junior kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented and positive kitchen setting
Assisting the Head Chef in managing financial KPIs, including wages and cost of goods
Providing an exceptional food experience to ensure our regular customers return again and again, and to attract new business
Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
At least two years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced bistro environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace with strong multitasking skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development Commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences
Ability to work across a seven day roster
Strong communication and time management skills.
Experience with pub/bistro cuisine is essential
Pay: $76,515.00 – $82,000.00 per year
