Position: Full-Time Chef (Curry & Tandoor)

Masti, an esteemed Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Fitzroy, is seeking an experienced and qualified Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team.

Specialising in authentic North Indian cuisine, we take pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Job Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of authentic North Indian dishes, with a focus on curry and tandoori specialties
Apply robust knowledge of North Indian cuisine to deliver consistent flavour and presentation
Assist in developing menus including mains, specials, sharing dishes, and desserts
Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards
Ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
Work independently and take responsibility for assigned kitchen sections

Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with North Indian cuisine, particularly curry and tandoor cooking techniques (or similar role)
Trade Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery ,Diploma or equivalent qualification
Ability to perform in a rapid-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment




Strong skills in food preparation, consistency, and presentation
Ability to work independently and support junior kitchen staff when required
Experience with stock control, ordering, and food safety practices is highly regarded
