An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to lead the drafting department of a growing structural steel fabrication company based in Botany.

This is a long-term role for someone looking to do more than just drafting. The company is expanding and is seeking a qualified who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, mentoring others, and helping build a high-performing department.

Your responsabilities:
Produce 3D models and shop drawings using TEKLA Structures and/or Autodesk Advance Steel.
Prepare fabrication and construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings.
Review project requirements, specifications and engineering documentation to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
Attend site visits and take accurate measurements when required.




Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes and project specifications.
Liaise with engineers, project managers, workshop team and clients to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

You must have:
At least 5 years’ experience in structural steel drafting.
Robust understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.
Proficient English level, written and verbal.
A White Card and Driver Licence.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
