Dual Trade Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)

A leading food manufacturer in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Dual Trade Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team on a permanent Monday to Friday afternoon shift (4:00pm – 12:30am).

Offering a highly competitive salary, afternoon shift loading, and regular overtime, this is an excellent prospect to join a growing FMCG manufacturer investing in its maintenance team by replacing contractors with permanent employees.

Electricians or Mechanical Fitters with strong exposure to both electrical and mechanical maintenance are also encouraged to apply.

The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Preventative and breakdown maintenance across production equipment
Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
Minimising downtime and improving plant reliability
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives




Maintaining high safety and food manufacturing standards

You'll be working across a variety of automated food processing and packaging equipment, including mixers, conveyors, forming units, breading systems, fryers and VFFS machinery.

About You
You will have:
Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications
Dual trade qualifications or robust exposure to both mechanical and electrical maintenance
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another quick-paced manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
A proactive, team-focused approach
