Our client is seeking experienced Freedom of Information (FOI) Officers/Lawyers to work on secondment with a high profile federal government department.
The Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be required to:
undertake reviews of FOI matters from initial receipt to decision making accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act) and our client’s FOI Business Rules;
liaise and engage with key stakeholders including other government agencies; and
have solid analytical skills and attention to detail to enable you to effectively and pragmatically review potentially moderately complex FOI cases.
The Requirements
Previous experience working as an FOI Officer/Lawyer in a federal government department, knowledge and understanding of the FOI Act and a Baseline clearance is essential.
