Overview (Text Only): Are you an accounting professional with payroll experience looking for your next opportunity? Foot Locker Asia Pacific is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027 for a leave cover. In this role, you will be responsible for recording payroll-related activities in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining reconciled accounts. You’ll also support wage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end payroll closing activities and accruals
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll accounts
Deliver wage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide KPI reporting and payroll insights to business stakeholders
Calculate and reconcile bonus payments and wage-related costs
Support audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
Partner with HR, FP&A;, Payroll Operations, and other teams on payroll matters
Identify process improvements and efficiency prospects





Qualifications:
3–5 years' experience in accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role
Experience with payroll accounting, wage reconciliations, workforce cost analysis, and payroll-related financial reporting
Understanding of payroll data and how it impacts financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting outcomes
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data sets
Advanced Excel skills
Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
Solid communication skills and a collaborative mindset
