Bakers Delight Wellington Village is seeking a motivated and reliable Baker's Assistant to support our baking team in producing the high-quality breads and baked goods our customers love.
This is a hands-on food production role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality food products.
About the role
Working alongside our qualified bakers, you will assist with a variety of bakery production tasks including:
Preparing ingredients and products for baking
Assisting with bread production and finishing
Tray preparation and product handling
Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
General bakery production duties as required
What we're looking for
Reliable and punctual
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Solid attention to detail
Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods
Able to work as part of a team
Committed to maintaining high food safety standards
Food handling experience is highly regarded, particularly experience gained in:
Bakeries
Cafés and restaurants
Food manufacturing
Commercial kitchens
Delicatessens or supermarkets
Hours of work
Part time or casual position available
Approximately 2–3 shifts per week
Shifts are typically 8:00am to 1:00pm
Monday to Sunday roster
Some weekend availability is required, however most shifts will be worked M-F
