Salary: $79,500 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
We are seeking a full time, ongoing Metal Fabricator to perform fabrication, assembly and related metalwork duties.
Key Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components.
Determining materials, fabrication methods and work sequences.
Operating fabrication equipment, machinery and hand tools.
Fabricating and fitting metal parts and structural components to specification.
Checking fabricated components for accuracy, alignment and quality.
Performing welding, grinding, finishing and assembly work where required.
Identifying and rectifying fabrication issues.
Maintaining tools, equipment and a secure work area.
Working with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete work safely and efficiently.
Skills & Experience
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience.
Experience in metal fabrication, structural steel or general engineering.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Robust attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to workplace health and safety.
Current driver’s licence preferred.
Employment Terms
Full-time ongoing position.
Standard full-time hours, with overtime available where required.
