Main Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the company’s accounting system, including selecting appropriate software solutions
Provide guidance on audit processes to effectively manage investments and optimise profitability
Develop, manage, and monitor budgets
Prepare regular financial reports and conduct performance analysis for presentation to directors, management, and regulatory bodies
Ensure the accuracy of financial information and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
Apply Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations in daily operations
Oversee accounts payable (creditor management)
Liaise with banks and financial institutions to maintain accurate company records and improve cost efficiency
Establish customer accounts and manage accounts receivable
Conduct site visits where required to review record-keeping systems and data collection processes
Provide regular updates to management, identifying issues and offering timely solutions or risk mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate General Ledger and journal entries to support reporting requirements
Manage payroll and PAYG obligations
Prepare half-yearly and end-of-financial-year reports, including statutory returns
Perform additional finance-related duties as required across the organisation
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience
Solid work ethic with a proactive attitude
Ability to work effectively within a team setting
Excellent communication skills
Salary & Application
Base salary ranges from $78,000 to $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
