About the role:

In this hands-on role, you will assist in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Burke Shire’s water and wastewater treatment plants. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring protected, reliable water services by:
Monitoring plant performance, recording and reporting test results
Collecting water and wastewater samples for analysis
Operating treatment plant equipment and applying safe chemical handling
Supporting compliance with health, environmental, and regulatory standards

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying issues and assisting with fault-finding and corrective actions.

What We’re Looking For:
Current open (manual) driver’s licence
Safety-first attitude with strong communication and numeracy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems or similar monitoring tools (preferred)
Willingness to complete a Cert III in Water Operations (if not already held)

Traineeship Option: This position can also be offered as a traineeship for those looking to start a career in water operations.

This is a Full-Time position with a negotiable commencement salary dependent upon qualifications, experience and tickets held.
