We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of a college campus. This position involves traveling between properties for cleaning, ensuring each site is spotless.
Part-time positions are available and will have to work on weekends if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning of college campus common areas, including classrooms, hallways, stairwells, entrances, cafeterias, restrooms, lifts, and outdoor walkways to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace for students and staff.
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
Empty bins, remove rubbish, and ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
Restock supplies in restrooms and other public areas as required.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene in all assigned areas.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual incidents to the supervisor.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests or spillages to ensure a safe and pleasant setting for shoppers.
Work independently or as part of a team to complete cleaning schedules within allocated timeframes.
Ensure cleaning chemicals are used and stored in accordance with safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Must have a blue card and valid police check.
Minimum 6 months experience in Commercial Cleaning in Australia
Attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
Plans to stay in Cairns for a year.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
