About the Role

Smokehouse Meat & Co Grill & Bar is looking for a skilled and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our kitchen team at our Southbank location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoori dishes, maintaining high food-quality standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. We are looking for someone with strong experience in tandoor cooking who takes pride in delivering delicious, high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of authentic tandoori dishes.
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
Prepare marinades, sauces, meats, breads, and other ingredients.
Maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
Manage food preparation and cooking during busy service periods.
Monitor food stock and minimise wastage.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation.




Follow recipes and contribute to maintaining the restaurant's food standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques.
Experience preparing tandoori meats, seafood, vegetables, naan, and other tandoor-based dishes.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A positive attitude and robust work ethic.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
