Hillarys Yacht Club is seeking a qualified and experienced Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. HYC is a busy multi-outlet venue encompassing a restaurant, function/event catering, and multiple bar venues, offering wide-ranging and energetic shift work for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Casual Chef, you'll work across our kitchen operations supporting à la carte service, functions, and events. Shifts will vary based on operational needs, including weekends and event days.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard
Work efficiently across sections during service and events
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and protected kitchen environment
Collaborate with the kitchen and FOH team to ensure smooth service
Assist with prep for functions and events as required
About You
Trade-qualified chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) with proven kitchen experience
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
A team player with a positive, professional attitude
