A specialist compounding pharmacy in Ballina, Northern Rivers NSW, is hiring a Pharmacist-in-Charge. This is a compounding-only pharmacy with no retail component, so if you're after a role away from the front counter and retail pressure, this is worth a look.
Sterile preparations include injections, eye drops, nasal sprays, and intradermal pellets. Non-sterile preparations include capsules, troches, oral liquids, and topicals. All actual compounding is handled by an experienced lab team, so you don't need compounding experience yourself.
What You'll Be Doing
Quality control across all preparations
Checking and releasing compounded preparations
Clinical pharmacy support, handling patient and prescriber queries
Staff support and oversight
Working with a broad range of prescribers including GPs, nurse practitioners, optometrists, vets, and dentists
What We're Looking For
Registered pharmacist, current AHPRA registration
Solid attention to detail
Clear verbal and written communication
High standard of pharmacy practice
No compounding experience required, full on-the-job training provided
Why This Role
One pharmacist already covers Wednesdays, so you'd be joining an existing team rather than starting from scratch. An overseas intern pharmacist is also being sponsored to assist with day-to-day work. If you're after a PIC role with genuine variety in prescriber base and clinical scope, without the retail grind, this is a solid option.
