We are currently seeking reliable Casual Trade Assistants to support our busy fabrication and workshop operations. This is a excellent opportunity for people wanting flexible work or hands-on workshop experience.
About the role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople assisting with the manufacturing of fencing infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a team.
Your duties will include:
Assist operation of chainmesh machines and workshop equipment
Assisting fabricators and welders
Cutting, grinding and preparing steel
Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
Operating basic workshop tools and machinery
Preparing jobs for site crews
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
General labouring and yard duties
About you
You will ideally have:
Experience in a workshop, fabrication or construction workplace
A current Driver’s Licence
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to perform physical work safely
A reliable and team-focused attitude
Forklift, EWP, or construction tickets will be highly regarded but not essential.
