Harding’s Hardware is currently seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual to join the team as a Purchasing Officer operating out of our Berrinba Queensland Office. This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with a robust attention to detail ability to work within a team setting and a focus on continuous improvement.
What you will be doing
Procurement of stock.
Stock control.
Liaising with suppliers via phone and email.
Assisting with the return of credits to suppliers.
Assisting with all aspects of stocktakes.
Ability to identify changing trends and stock requirements of our clients.
General office duties
Any other duties specified by your manager or supervisor
What you will bring
Solid attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Effective time management skills
Ability to work unsupervised
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Previous purchasing experience
Ability to work within the constraints of a purchasing budget
Previous experience in a trade environment and associated products (beneficial but not essential)
Commitment to continuous improvement
