Locavore is a regenerative organic butchery in Byron Bay. We work with whole animals from regenerative farms, and we care about doing it properly — quality, provenance, and craft over shortcuts.
We're looking for an experienced butcher to join our Byron Bay team on a casual basis. You'll be doing whole animal breakdown, primal cuts, retail-ready product, and helping keep our case looking sharp every day.
What we're after:
Solid butchery experience — you know your way around a whole carcass, not just pre-cut product
Genuine interest in where meat comes from and how it's raised
Someone reliable who takes pride in the work and pulls their weight as part of a small, tight team
Valuable knife skills and food safety know-how (or willing to get certified)
Available for casual shifts, versatile around our roster needs
