Role Overview

As a Team Member at Schnitz caroline springs, you play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role involves working across different areas of the restaurant including food preparation, cooking, customer service, and maintaining a clean and protected work workplace.

Team members are responsible for ensuring Schnitz quality standards, food safety procedures, and operational consistency are maintained during every shift.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
Deliver friendly and welcoming service to all guests
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
Provide product knowledge and menu recommendations
Handle customer enquiries professionally
Ensure guests have a positive dining experience

Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare menu items according to Schnitz recipes and procedures
Operate kitchen equipment including fryers and grills safely
Follow correct cooking times and product handling procedures
Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
Assist in preparing fresh ingredients during shift preparation

Food Safety & Hygiene
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Ensure correct handling of raw and cooked products
Maintain clean workstations and kitchen areas




Complete temperature checks and food safety procedures where required

Teamwork
Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Support team members to ensure smooth service operations
Maintain a positive and respectful team culture

Cleaning & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness in dining, kitchen, and service areas
Complete daily cleaning and closing duties
Ensure equipment and utensils are kept clean and organised

Skills & Attributes

Adaptable availability including evenings and weekends

Requirements
No previous experience required (training provided)
Food handling knowledge is an advantage
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
