The Role: DevOps Application Support Engineer

In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering and operations. You’ll take ownership of a suite of Java-based applications and their cloud-native platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and smooth customer experiences at scale.

Your responsibilities include:
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving production systems using contemporary observability tools
Investigating logs and distributed systems to pinpoint and resolve issues
Working with cloud platforms and containerised environments to optimise deployments
Automating processes,



improving runbooks, and contributing to CI/CD enhancements
Collaborating with engineering teams to uplift platform health and operational maturity
Participating in on-call rotations as part of a supportive team
Documenting insights, sharing knowledge, and continually improving processes

What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting Java applications with strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), containers, and monitoring tools like Sumo Logic or Dynatrace
Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
A proactive mindset focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement
A commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes
