Job Title: Cook and Kitchen Hand
Location: Dakabin Cafe 63
Reports To: Kitchen boss

Job Summary:

Cafe 63 is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing high-quality meals in a quick-paced café workplace. You will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and light dinner items to the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and taste.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in line with Cafe 63’s recipes and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with food safety regulations.
Ensure that all food preparation is completed in a timely manner, particularly during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
Assist in receiving and properly storing food supplies and deliveries.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and hygiene standards.
Perform cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces,



and disposing of waste appropriately.

Requirements:
Previous experience as a cook or kitchen hand in a café or restaurant setting preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of secure food handling and hygiene practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Desirable Qualifications:
Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)
