Are you a passionate Chef who believes that great food is the foundation of a happy childhood? At Eden Academy Happy Valley, our kitchen isn’t just a workspace—it’s the soul of our centre. We are looking for a culinary creator to lead our commercial-style kitchen and nourish the next generation! We are a child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children.

Step into a professional, commercial-style kitchen designed for excellence. Operating from 6:30am to 6:30pm, you will have the autonomy to design, prepare, and deliver vibrant, balanced, and nutritional menus for 99 curious little foodies. At Eden, we believe healthy bodies lead to hungry minds!

This position will be 20 hours per week, until our occupancy grows.

As our current Chef, you will:
Plan and prepare daily meals in line with nutrition guidelines and centre requirements
Cater to diverse dietary needs with confidence and care
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen workplace
Engage with children and educators to promote healthy eating habits
Build genuine connections with families and create sense of community

What You’ll Bring:




Certificate III in Commercial Cookery OR
Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent
Food Safety Certificate
A current Working with Children Check
Strong understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
Australian Working Rights
Impeccable personal presentation
Experience in menu creation, bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management, and budget control
Proven experience in commercial cooking
Availability to work Monday to Friday
